DAY 01: HCM – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (L)
In the morning, depart from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful and historic Buddhist temple. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River to Unicorn Island, where you can taste seasonal fruits, listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese music, and explore the local lifestyle. After having lunch at a local restaurant with traditional Vietnamese dishes, continue the journey to Ben Tre, known for its coconut plantations. Here, you will take a hand-rowed sampan through narrow canals, learn about the process of making coconut candy, visit a local family business, and sample coconut products. Finally, proceed to Can Tho and check into your hotel, with free time to explore the city or relax at the hotel.
DAY 02: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET (B, L)
Early in the morning, head to Cai Rang Floating Market to experience the bustling market life and see locals trading goods directly from boats. Enjoy breakfast on the boat with local delicacies, then visit a noodle and rice paper factory to learn about traditional production methods. Return to the hotel for lunch and check out, then explore Binh Thuy Ancient House, a beautiful example of French colonial architecture. The tour concludes with a departure from Can Tho, returning to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.
